MÂCON SOLUTRÉ (white wine from Mâconnais, southern Burgundy)
Grape varieties : Chardonnay
Vintage : 2020 (13% vol.)
Located in the south of Burgundy, in the department of Saône et Loire, the rock of Solutré is a major tourist attraction made famous by François MITTERRAND's annual pilgrimage.
The Mâcon SOLUTRÉ Protected Designation of Origin is produced in the commune of Solutré-Pouilly located at the foot of this remarkable site.
This white wine made from the Chardonnay grape variety is a dry, lively and very mineral white wine.
Fruity with an expressive nose, we find in the mouth aromas of exotic fruits such as mango and banana.
Very good quality/price ratio for a Burgundy wine, it is a wine to drink on its youth and which will remain pleasant for 3-4 years.
A food and wine pairing with this Mâcon Solutré
A little too dry for an aperitif, its liveliness will be ideal with fish, this white wine will be perfect with a seafood gratin for example.
